- Newton NH - Finance Administrator/Specialist
The Town of Newton, New Hampshire (population approx. 4600) is seeking an experienced finance administrator/specialist, preferably with municipal experience. Although traditionally a part-time position, the Town is flexible in offering this as a full-time position, based on qualifications, to meet the needs of the right candidate. Newton is located in southeast NH bordering Haverhill MA and Plaistow NH. It has an SB2 town meeting form of government with a 5-member Board of Selectmen and the position reports to the Town Administrator. Newton employs a workforce comprised of approximately 13 FT/64 PT employees and has an operating budget of approximately $3.7 million.
The successful candidate should have experience with finance administration, general accounting practices, accounts payable, accounts receivable and benefits administration. Associate degree in accounting or related field and experience in municipal finance preferred; OR equivalent combination of experience and education which demonstrates an ability to be successful in the position. The hourly pay range for a part-time position is from $25.00 to $29.00, while the top of the salary range for a full-time position is $85,000 with excellent benefits, starting salary commensurate with qualifications. - Pelham NH - Fire Chief
The Town of Pelham, New Hampshire (pop. 14,473) is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Fire Chief. Pelham is a dynamic community located on the Massachusetts border and nestled between Nashua, Windham and Salem. The Department covers a response area of 26.3 square miles and operates from a single station. The Department has an ISO rating of Class 4/4Y. The organization employs 21 full-time and 4 on-call employees with an operating budget of approximately 3.1 million. In 2023 the Department responded to approximately 1,500 emergency calls (66% EMS).
Appointed by the Board of Selectmen and under the general supervision of the Town Administrator, the Fire Chief serves as a key member of the Town’s management team. A bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Homeland Security, Business or Public Administration is required, Master’s preferred or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Candidates must be certified as Firefighter II, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, EMT (paramedic preferred). It is also preferred that candidates have completed the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program (EFOP).
Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of experience in career fire service, as well as a minimum of seven years of command and supervisory experience at the level of a shift commander or above. Candidates must have demonstrated experience and skill within the following critical areas: budgeting; collaborative interagency relationships; labor management relations in a unionized environment; and fire, EMS and emergency management. The salary range is $115,000 – $130,000 plus benefits depending upon qualifications and experience.

- Rye NH - Fire Lieutenant
The Town of Rye, NH (pop 5,500), is seeking an experienced Fire/EMS professional for this leadership position within the Rye Fire Department. Rye is located along 9 miles of the beautiful NH Seacoast yet is within a 1-hour drive to Boston, Portland Maine, the Lakes Region, and the White Mountains. Boasting the most shoreline of any NH community and with 4 of the 9 Isles of Shoals within its borders, Rye is an idyllic community in which to work, vacation or raise a family. Comprised of a Chief, Deputy Chief, 4 Lieutenants, 5 Firefighters, as well as Per-Diem and Call members, the Rye Fire Department provides fire suppression, prevention, and EMS services to the community.

- New Boston, NH - Town Administrator

- Campton, NH - Town Administrator
The Town of Campton, NH (approx. pop 3,300) is accepting applications for the position of Town Administrator. The Town Administrator acts as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Board of Selectmen and implements the orders and policies of the Board in accordance with all laws and Town rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, and procedures. - Somersworth, NH - Fire Chief/Emergency Manager
The City of Somersworth, New Hampshire (pop. 12,159) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Fire Chief. The new Fire Chief will guide the Department forward, including leading
the organization in maximizing the operational effectiveness of a new $9M facility.
The City of Somersworth is located 17 miles northwest of Portsmouth, New Hampshire in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire. The Department covers an area of 10 square miles from a centrally located fire facility. The City is a prosperous and growing community with an expanding residential and commercial base. The Department is an ISO Class 4 full-service fire/rescue organization that has a total of 18 full-time personnel including the newly approved position of Deputy Fire Chief. The Fire Chief serves as the City’s Emergency Management Director. The SFD responded to 1,527 service calls in calendar year 2022; including 670 fire service related and 857 EMS calls. The current annual operating budget of the Fire Department is $2.3 million. EMS is provided by a private contracted Ambulance/EMS service provider.
The Fire Chief is appointed by the City Manager. Candidates must have strong leadership and managerial skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A proven, success record of experience in progressively responsible supervisory, administrative and command assignments is also required.
Minimum qualifications include: Associate Degree from an accredited university or college, a Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred; 5 years of municipal fire/rescue experience with at least 2 years of experience as a command officer in a comparable or larger organization. The Chief must have completed career firefighter certification 1 and 2, ICS 400, 800a. Participation in Executive Fire Officer and Pro Board Fire Officer III certification are preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience and skill within the following critical areas: budgeting, crafting collaborative interagency relationships, pacing change, fireground management, incident command and emergency management.
It is preferred, however not required, that the new Fire Chief establish residency in Somersworth. Salary range is $100,000 to $118,697 depending on qualifications.

- Boxborough, MA - Finance Director/Town Accountant
Boxborough, MA (5,506 pop.), is seeking an experienced, passionate and energetic public finance professional to serve as the Town’s first Finance Director. This newly created position was recently approved by the community. The individual will work under the general supervision of the Select Board, will report directly to the Town Administrator and be a key member of the executive staff. The Finance Director will be responsible for the overall supervision of the Town Finance Team which also includes the Assistant Town Accountant, Treasurer/Collector, Town Assessor and Administrative Assistants. The successful candidate must possess exceptional financial acumen and strong leadership ability. The successful candidate will have high integrity, superior work ethic, demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current principles & practices of municipal finance and be familiar with common municipal finance software. The FY 24 operating budget is $25,859,443 of which $14,248,940 is allocated for the Regional School District. The Town maintains a very desirable AAA bond rating.
A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration or similar field of study and 5-7 years of experience in a related position preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience. CGA or CPA credentials preferred. Thorough knowledge of UMAS, GAAP, and GASB regulations, as well as experience with local municipal software programs is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. A salary range of $135,000-$150,000 has been established with a starting salary that will be commensurate with qualifications and experience as determined by the appointing authority. - Newton, NH - Chief of Police
The Town of Newton, New Hampshire (population approx. 4600) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of police chief. Located along the MA- NH border, this rural community is just minutes from the Seacoast and 40 minutes from Boston.
The Police Department has an authorized strength of 8 full-time officers including the chief, several part-time officers, and a full-time administrative assistant. The operating budget is approximately $1 million. The Chief is expected to perform all the usual management and administrative duties of the position but given the size of the community may also have responsibilities as a first responder. Although its CALEA accreditation has lapsed, the department is currently in the self-assessment phase seeking re-accreditation.

- Winchester, CT - Town Manager
The Town of Winchester/City of Winsted, CT is seeking an experienced, collaborative, engaging, and enthusiastic professional to serve as Town Manager and Chief Executive Officer for Winchester. The community has had an established Town Manager/Mayor/Selectboard form of government since 1962. The Town is the second largest community in Litchfield County with a population of 10,200 encompassing 33.8 square miles of land with numerous recreational opportunities mainly around the very large, desirable, and picturesque Highland Lake. The Town center in Winsted is at the crossroads of Route 44 and Route 8 and has a well-defined downtown that supports many businesses in this corridor. The Town has a highly respected local school system and is home to Northwestern Community College.
The recently approved budget for FY2024 is $39.1 million with approximately $24 million of that total to support the local School district. The Town has also approved an allocation of $2 m. from the General fund to pay for Capital improvements. In 2023, the S&P bond rating agency upgraded the Town to AA rating for future debt service obligations. There are a total of 60 FTE employees and numerous part-time staff.
The Town of Winchester offers its Town Manager a competitive salary, currently budgeted at $130,000-$150,000, and a benefits package.
