Public Sector Finance Consultant

Municipal Resources, Inc. (MRI), a leading provider of services to local governments throughout New England since 1989, is seeking to fill an important role in our growing public sector finance consulting and software business.
MRI’s Finance Consultants support our clients by providing a variety of finance-related services including but not limited to interim and outsourced finance services, operational reviews, and support of MTS Fund software clients.
The ideal candidate will have specific knowledge of and experience with:
- New Hampshire public sector fund accounting
- DRA Portal/MS forms
- Audit preparation
- Internal controls
- Grants reporting/management
- State and Federal reporting and compliance requirements
Consideration will also be given to candidates with relatable skills and experience that demonstrate likely success in the position.
This hybrid position will require travel within New Hampshire to support MRI’s clients, with the opportunity to work remotely. The successful candidate should have the knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, and New Hampshire public sector accounting experience.
Position can be full time or part time for the right candidate. MRI offers a competitive compensation with a benefits package for full time employees.
