Steven Parkinson, P.E., PWLF, M. ASCE has more than 40 years serving in leadership positions in Public Works organizations. He served as the Public Works Director in the City of Portsmouth, N.H. from 1989 through 2013. As the Director he oversaw all functions of the Department including, but not limited to, Highway, Water, Sewer, Engineering, Solid Waste, Snow Removal and Facilities. Upon completing his service to the City of Portsmouth in 2013. He accepted the position of Public Works Director in Hallandale Beach Florida where he had similar responsibilities. In 2017 he added Assistant City Manager to his title in Hallandale. Upon his return to New Hampshire in 2019, Mr. Parkinson joined the team at MRI where he has served on project teams, as Interim Municipal Engineer to the Town of Concord MA and as Interim DPW Director to several other communities.
