John Scruton
John Scruton has an MPA from the University of New Hampshire in Durham and has over thirty years of municipal public administration experience in New Hampshire. Mr. Scruton served as City Manager for Rochester, NH; City Support Administrator for Nashua NH; Town Manager for Plaistow, NH; Town Administrator for Goffstown NH; Town Administrator for Barrington, NH; and Town Administrator for Farmington, NH. He served many years on the NHMA Board and continues to serve on PRIMEX Risk Pool, which provides coverage for many NH communities, schools and counties. He is a Certified Public Manager and an ICMA Credential Manager. He has extensive experience in all facets of municipal government including Administration, Budgets, Capital Improvements, Conservation, Human Resources, Insurance, Land Use, Economic Development, and many other initiatives spanning a wide spectrum of public sector interests. During his career, John has overseen both large and small projects and has acted as a liaison with engineering, construction firms, State and Federal officials and legal counsel. He is respected for his ability to successfully maintain positive working relationships with elected officials, employees, unions and the public. Mr. Scruton serves MRI as a management consultant; project team leader; and in interim manager/administrator assignments.
