Jack Wozmak

John G. “Jack” Wozmak, J.D., EMT, has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Juris Doctor degree from Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, MA. He was a practicing attorney in Massachusetts before accepting the position of County Administrator for Cheshire County, where he stayed for 17 years.

He possesses more than 40 years of senior management experience, including 20 years in the public sector. For 17 years, he served as the County Administrator for Cheshire County government where he was the Chief Executive Officer for more than a dozen departments and several independent elected officials/department managers. He also worked for three years for the City of Keene, under contract to create a 10-year Master Plan for the city-owned municipal airport and to execute certain capital projects at the airport. At the County, he developed and managed a budget of more than $44 million and 450 employees, including two unions. He has served as the Interim Finance Director of the County during a transition of management and a reorganization of the finance department. He created and supervised all aspects of the County Human Resources Department. He was responsible for overseeing the County municipal water-treatment and wastewater treatment plant and he has been the project manager for more than $60 million of municipal construction projects, including and County Jail, County Nursing Home, two municipal courthouses and several public works projects involving significant site work, paving and underground utilities. Wozmak initiated and managed three energy-reduction projects that reduced energy consumption by one-third. He established the first court-referral programs in the state to address addiction and mental illness; models now widespread in the state. His training and licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician on a volunteer fire department provides him a unique insight and relationship with the fire and EMS service. Upon his retirement as the County Administrator, he was elected the County Treasurer, followed by his election to be a County Commissioner, where he continues to serve.

At the community level, Wozmak is the Town Moderator, with a strong understanding of election practices, particularly during the pandemic. Mr. Wozmak has served on many professional and civic boards including the New Hampshire Public Risk Management Exchange (PRIMEX), the NH Retirement System and Franklin Pierce University. He is a 2001 graduate of Leadership New Hampshire, a program to select, train and build a network of leaders for the State of New Hampshire who have the potential to provide the leadership needed to address key issues of statewide significance.

Jack is a Senior MRI management consultant that handles interim management assignments, leads executive recruitments and is assigned to various other projects.
