The Town of Nottingham, NH (pop 5100), is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its next Town Administrator. The former Town Administrator is leaving after serving the Town for 8 years. Nottingham is located in the southeast portion of the state within 30 minutes of Manchester, Concord and the Seacoast. The center of town is located on Route 152 at the intersection with Route 156. Nottingham is approximately 46.5 square miles of land area and 1.9 square miles of inland water area, including 14 lakes and ponds. Nottingham is rich in history and, despite modern growth, maintains a small-town atmosphere.
Working under the direction of a 5-member Board of Selectmen, the Town Administrator coordinates the delivery of a full array of town services and manages the day-to-day affairs of the Town. Nottingham recently transitioned to a SB-2 form of government. With an FY 22 operating budget of $4.5 mil, the Town has approximately 21 FT employees supplemented by another 31 PT employees. Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field and five years of supervisory/administrative experience, preferably in a municipal setting OR equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates an ability to be successful in the position.
